Chartbuilder lets you build market level custom charts and visualizations based on lease data sets. There are three different ways to create a chart with Chartbuilder -
1. Create a new data set through the Chartbuilder tab — choose your market, attribute and space type.
To create a new chart directly on Chartbuilder, navigate to the “Projects” tab then click on the + button on the top right of the left bar. You will need to name your project, then select it. Once you’re in your project’s tab, you can click on the + in the middle of your screen. You will then be prompted to select your market, attribute and space type(s).
2. Send data directly to Chartbuiler from the leases tab.
Once you select all of your desired search filters on the leases tab, you can directly create a chart based on the data selected by clicking on “Send to Chartbuilder '' at the bottom of your left sidebar. From there, you can title your data set, and you’ll be all good to start visualizing your chart!
3. Use a Saved Search — select from your list of saved searches.
You can directly analyze a saved search on Chartbuilder by navigating to your Saved Searches tab, then clicking on “Send to Chartbuilder” on the saved search you wish to analyze.
4. Select a pre-made chart comparing: starting rent trends, submarket trends, and average lease terms.
You can choose any of our pre-made charts to help you get started. You can visualize trends in starting rents in major markets, compare submarkets office buildings in NYC, or compare average lease terms for different asset classes in NYC.
